The Fathers and Sons of Northeast Ohio program has three components. The first is facilitating fatherhood education classes on site at locations in Summit, Cuyahoga and Portage Counties. Through the Fatherhood Advocate Resource Center, fathers can take part in programs like the Single Father Mentoring Program.
FSNEO also provides other community-minded individuals with the opportunity to attend Fatherhood "Train the Trainer" classes. Fathers learn, through on the job training, to conduct on-site fatherhood education classes at local community-based sites, such as correctional facilities, men's homeless shelters, veteran medical centers, long-term correctional institutions and more.
The second program component is providing supportive services that lead to the removal of barriers that prevent fathers from practicing responsible fatherhood, while the third is a Green Collar Jobs program. This program helps prepare urban fathers for the emerging field of green jobs.
